For about a week now, clicking the picture-in-picture icon in a video stream doesn't display the video in a small window, but instead switches to full-screen mode. How can I change this? Picture-in picture icon mode is enabled in the settings; otherwise, you wouldn't see the icon. Thanks for help.

I was trying to setup 2FA on my Mozilla account on Firefox pc browser (140 version). The process completes without issues with Aegis authenticator app, I download the backup codes and I even get the email confirming the recovery phone number was added. On the Mozilla accounts page 2FA turns to enabled. (I'm on Windows11 with latest Firefox browser version)

However after a simple refresh, it turns back to disabled. I repeated the process and same thing happens. Same even on Firefox Android. What could be the issue here?

See the image below, how do I prevent that black box showing up and showing anyone who uses my device my sensitive data? How is this not a common setting to be changed?

Very insecure and Horrible to have on by default. Recently switched to firefox from chrome because of security concerns but stuff like this is making me want to go back, because HOW IS THIS SAFE AND SECURE?!?!?!?

I've typed in passwords in boxes that arent really password boxes, and firefox has suggested my own password in plain sight like in the image below.

Strongly recommend firefox to not make this default and make it an accessible setting to disable because I've leaked my sensitive information to online calls because of this. This urgently needs to be addressed as a security concern. At least have a cogwheel button next to the black box to quickly disable this setting. Very very disappointed.

Audio Equalizer and Amplifier(https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/audio-equalizer-and-amplifier/) extension on Yandex Music(https://music.yandex.ru/) doesn't work, which was noticed only in Firefox. In other browsers, it worked correctly and without any problems, I don't understand what the problem is. PC rebooted, browser restarted, the extension uninstalled and installed again. How can this be fixed? The extension worked correctly in Chrome and Edge.

Hello everyone, I run into a problem setting up my new mini PC, Geekom A6. I downloaded Firefox as usual from https://www.firefox.com/de/. I started the installation, and everything went through perfectly fine. When I expected that Firefox would start, only the Profile Manager started. When I try to create a new profile, the wizard appears for a millisecond and closes instantly. Here's the whole start process as a video: https://streamable.com/zkeb46 https://streamable.com/zkeb46

What I already tried to fix it:

• Run Firefox as Admin -> nothing changed
• Rename profiles ini -> nothing changed; ini was not newly created.
• Manually create the Profiles folder. That actually let me start the wizard but would end in this failure message:

"Profile couldn’t be created. Probably the chosen folder isn’t writable. [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED) [nsIToolkitProfileService.createProfile]" nsresult: "0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://mozapps/content/profile/createProfileWizard.js :: onFinish :: line 250" data: no]" I gave this folder every access right for everyone, but still the same error. I tried to choose a custom folder, which worked (once in Document and once in C:/Firefox/Profile). But when I wanted to start Firefox, this error came: "An unexpected error has prevented your changes from being saved." and the option to restart Firefox. When I do so, I am once again back at the Firefox profile selection (but the previously created profile is not visible to select).

• Use an older installer of Firefox -> I tried 1.40, 1.39, and 1.38, but the same problem everywhere.
• Using winget but that led to the same error.
• Starting firefox in save mode (firefox -safe-mode) also leads to Profile Manager

I am using the latest Windows 11 24H2 and drivers are up to date.

I hope you can help me using Firefox on this device.

I'm reading on https://beginningaftertheendmanga.org and there's an extra white space between all of the images which is obviously not supposed to be there. Inspecting the page source shows that there are
tags between all of the images to make them stack vertically. Is there a way to remove the white space introduced by these line breaks?

I've tried switching firefox to compact mode, but it didn't help.

I am using FF desktop. All of a sudden, I get no sound through my laptop speakers when trying to watch videos (on YT and FB for example). I still get sound if I use external speakers through the 3.5" jack. I still get sound through other browsers, no matter if it's through the laptop speakers or external ones. So, it is definitely an FF problem. Sound works fine on all other media files on the laptop. Refreshing FF didn't fix it. Nor did reinstalling or restarting the laptop. I tried changing the autoplay settings as suggested in the help article, but still no laptop audio via FF. How can I fix this? Thanks

Во время навигации youtube на главной странице если просто НАВЕСТИ мышкой на "На предыдущую страницу (Alt+Влево)" то ИНОГДА играет непонятная музыка или какой-то непонятный ролик, который я НЕ ВКЛЮЧАЛ. Важно: самого видео этого неизвестного ролика нет, играет просто звук. Другие вкладки браузера закрыты, открыта только вкладка youtube. Использую firefox esr, так как у меня виндовс 7, использую свежую версию firefox esr. Расширения, которые установлены - Ublock origin и uvpn. Не знаю, мог ли подхватить неизвестный вирус? Просканировал ESET, потом поставил антивирус comodo - все чисто по мнению данных антивирусных проверок, но вот проблема не решилась. Очень хотел бы, чтобы вы разобрались с этим вопросом. My Firefox browser always forces me to turn off my Nvidia instant replay feature when opened, with a pop-up message saying 'Protected application is blocking desktop recording'. How can I set it up to avoid conflicts between Firefox browser and this feature?

Ok so we have a 64bit windows PC that works very well but will not load one of our supplier website which is quite important. I have the site working on other PC's but for some reason Firefox on this PC does not like the site at all I get many messages with uplaod errors. SSL_ERROR_RX_UNEXPECTED_RECORD_TYPE being one Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_READ being another.

We must have some security settings wrong in Firefox but we are unable to pinpoint what we need to do to get this to work?

I just want the "X" button that used to be next to refresh page button or at least the option to enable it in the settings and to have it. If there is such a setting, please someone navigate me to it.

I have a new computer. Firefox looks different. No trouble syncing bookmarks in the past now it wont do it. Cannot figure it out. The icon that aways showed/hid the toolbar in there but doesnt see the bookmarks ,but I can get the book marks up in some strange place I cant even browse to. Just want synced left handed bookmark sidebar PLEASE

Specifically Youtube videos and nothing else either don't load at all, load only the first 10 seconds and then buffer, or load partially after ~20 minutes. No error message. Only in Firefox.

It's been like this for a couple of months. Been circumventing it by playing videos in a different browser, but would be nice if I could fix it.
