Bonjour,

Au démarrage de Firefox, le thème que j'utilise n'apparait pas. Je dois aller dans "outils - Extensions et thèmes", désactiver d'abord et activer afin que mon thèmes apparaisse.

Merci d'avance pour votre réponse.

Olivier ROUY

Hello,

When I start Firefox, the theme I'm using doesn't appear. I have to go to "Tools - Extensions and Themes", deactivate it first, and activate it for my theme to appear.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

I cant setup my 2FA every time Im at the end of the process where I need to add one of my security keys it just crashed with note that my time of the device is not corrent or whatever. Why, how, what does my time has to do with anythin? Nepodařilo se zapnout dvoufázové ověřování. Zkontrolujte, zda jsou hodiny na vašem zařízení nastaveny na automatickou aktualizaci, a začněte znovu.

Tried like 25 times with different autenticators. Is it like broken or what is happening?

For the last 5 or 6 days when I go to block a spam sender I get this message "We couldn't block this sender. Please try again later." It happens on every email address I try to block - so far, about a dozen or so.

Is this a temporary glitch?

Many thanks for looking into this for me!

So Firefox just wiped my cookies, my tabs, including my tab groups, and my settings in both about:preferences and about:config after an update. My history, passwords, and extensions are still intact, so it was not a true refresh. I can deal with the settings and cookies again, but my tab groups are nigh-unrecoverable. "Recently closed window" is greyed out, so that did not help either.

In the "Add Tab to Group -> Closed Groups", my old tab groups are still listed, but as far as I am aware there isn't support to access them yet.

I checked the root profile folder and, following the instructions from this thread, managed to fetch my tab groups from previous.jsonlz4 and recovery.jsonlz4.However, I could not for the life of me get mozlz4 to launch.

Additionally, I have an older backup of the same profile from 2 weeks earlier. This backup also confirms there was some unspecified data wipe, since it is 2GB more than the current profile folder.

With the available recovery data at hand, I have a couple of outcomes that I can live with.

  1. I can indiscriminately replace my current profile with the old backup and hope that when I restart Firefox will correct itself to match the current version.
  2. Someone could help/instruct me on which files to pinpoint to recover my site data/cookies/tab groups discriminately from all the files in the backup, so I don't have to fully replace the current profile.
  3. Someone could help me troubleshoot the guide outlined in the link above to figure out why mozlz4 is not working.

This has been driving me nuts over the past 24 hours and I honestly do feel like I'm a bit out of my depths. Any help is appreciated.

Hello Firefox Support,

Since the latest update of the Firefox browser, I have been experiencing frequent freezes. The browser becomes unresponsive when performing basic actions such as:

  • Clicking on the menu
  • Closing tabs
  • Copying or editing the URL

When this happens, the only way to recover is to close Firefox and reopen it.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you for your support.

Hi, I have been using Firefox for quite sometimes now, and I've always had problems loading any kind of maps on any website. I frequently need to modify or create GPX files, and I usually do it on my phone because the map never fully loads : by that I mean there is a massive grey square in the middle and the map only loads on the side, like I can see names, routes, etc but not in the middle.

Even if I zoom in or zoom out it's only the middle which is grey. If i move to the side, the previously centered area will be displayed on the side of the map. And it only does that on Firefox, not on Edge or Chrome or Safari etc.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and deactivating all addons but nothing works. If you have some ideas on how to solve this problem id gladly try them out (sorry for the crappy english)

Hi Mozilla Team,

I'm currently using Firefox version 142.0 (64-bit) and I'm having trouble setting up a proxy. I've tried configuring it through the usual settings under Settings > General > Network Settings > Settings..., but unable to configure the Proxy in Firefox 142.0 (64-bit), but no luck.

Is there a known issue with proxy configuration in this version? Are there any new settings or changes I should be aware of that might affect proxy setup?

Thanks in advance for your help!

'I am posting this for a third time, because I am absolutely sure it is caused by the latest Firefox update.

I am typing this into Notepad and copy/pasting it to the text box on the site.

I am legally blind, and I am very dependant on the Windows Magnifier. Yesterday I took the latest Firefox update and after installing it, the Windows Magnifier will no longer follow the text cursor on web pages rendered in Firefox. It will follow typing in the address bar and the search bar on the task bar, but it will not on web pages rendered in Firefox.

I do not have this problem with Chrome or Librewolf.

I had made two earlier posts with no response from Support. I have been trying desperately to figure out what waws going on as I was moving links, bookmarks & passwords into Librewolf.

I tried to refresh Firefox. It didn't work. I tried safe mode. It didn't work. I even tried a different profile. It didn't work. I even tired uninstall & reinstall Firefox. It didn't work.

I even called the Microsoft Disability desk and had them check my magnifier settings, and they are fine, and yet even if I toggled them on & of--it still didn't work.

So finally, out of desperation, I did the dreaded System Restore.

I rolled it back to August 18th and sat and waited.

And though I had to relog into Firefox--it worked!

and i have been surfing happily all evening until I loaded the Spotify player page and it wouldn't play. Okay this was weird because I had been using it all week and suddenly it wouldn't play. I did a search, and apparently it wasn't just me. I opened the About Firefox and there it was--the dreaded update.

Believe me, I really didn't want to restaret the browser, but it was doomed to happen anyway.

And guess what--the Windows Magnifier view won't follow the text cursor in web pages rendered in Firefox--Again!

The Spotify player plays again but.....

If you don't believe me, open the Windows Magnifier, dock it on your task bar, and try to type into a web page. The view just goes cockeyed.

So yes, the update has a bug. And for all the people who are visually handicapped and use the Windows Magnifier we are cursing you right now and hoping for a quick fix before we all have to move to Chrome.

You sighted people have no idea how frustrating this is.

At least I'm glad it's not my PC.

But if it doesn't get fixed, I"m absolutely done with this browser. It is now unusable for people with visual disabilities.

Good luck.

Thank you. '

So I just updated to Firefox version 142.0, and noticed there is a picture in picture option in the URL bar now. Don't get me wrong. I get the idea, but it's not for me. Is there an option to turn this off within the Firefox settings? I'm currently still on Windows 10— which I'm grateful Firefox is still supporting at the moment— version 1909 and the picture in picture controls setting is currently unchecked but still shows up in the URL bar for some reason. Can anyone help with this?
