Can't log into Pandora

more options

I use Pandora as my daily music player, and use Firefox (latest version, 86.0 64 bit) on Windows 10. A couple days ago I could not login to Pandora. I always type my logins myself, never save them. I tried changing the login and it never seemed to work correctly--I suspected it never got changed even though I got a confirmation email. I was right, because I finally fired up the dreaded MS Edge and was able to login to my Pandora account using my old password--so the password worked, it had never changed. I have tried clearing the cache, the dns, reviewed all the privacy settings, checked my plugins, and I cannot find anything that would seem to cause this problem.

Help! Please. I don't want to use Edge.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or blocked cookies.

  • check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions"

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"

"Clear the Cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Great, thanks. The key was the link to troubleshoot extensions/start FF in safe mode. I did not know how to do that. That fixed it so it is one of the extensions. Still will take some trial and error to figure out which one.
