I have a medical account online. Tried to log in but got "user id or password is incorrect" Changed password. Got email saying password was reset and user id is correct. Tried to log in, got same message. Tried four times, wouldn't log in.

Emailed support and twice they sent me the link to change my password. Twice it failed.

Yesterday I called on the phone but guy on my problem was busy and would call me back; didn't. Today I called again, got different guy and we tried to figure it out.

I'm on a MacBook Pro with Sierra 10.2.5 running Firefox 54. I gave him my user id and password and he logged in no problem. So then I opened Safari (which I haven't updated in ages) and got logged in, though it didn't run very well.

So the problem is with Firefox, but I have no idea what it could be. I've used this account before and logged in easily. Any ideas?

Hi, if you use Password Manager - Remember, delete and edit logins and passwords in Firefox, remove all details of that site then try again.

Also, delete ALL references to the website in question, as shown under the heading 'How do I remove a single website from my history?' in this article - Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox, then try the site (not from an old bookmark) again. Note: It may take a minute to complete the deletion.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't use Password manager. I cleared all history, cookies, cache, etc. and typed in the url anew. Still no joy. I heard from an acquaintance who works for Mozilla Canada, who also had no final resolution for me. It's only this one site so it's really frustrating that I can't get it to work. I think it's a version thing because it used to work and then I upgraded to El Capitan.
