Scrolling in Firefox jerky - how to fix ?

Scrolling webpages in Firefox (and only in Firefox) is getting more and more jerky. I'm running Windows 10 on both my MSI desktop and MSI laptop. I 'refreshed' the desktop - no difference. If I use a different browser or I'm offline, I have smooth scrolling.
