Relay is a Firefox service that helps protect your email address privacy when filling out online forms. It creates an email mask and forwards messages to your real address, keeping it hidden from untrusted companies. You can disable or delete a mask at any time when you no longer need it.

Activate Relay
Relay is available in both free and paid versions. The free version lets you create up to 5 masks. A Mozilla account and the Firefox Relay extension are required to use Relay.
- Visit the Relay website and click the button. A plan selection section will appear. Choose your plan and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Once logged in to your Mozilla account, click button to create your first email mask.
- To forward your first email select the button .
- Click to try out email forwarding.
- You will get a success message, please check your email to confirm that you’ve received the forwarded email and then click .
- To complete your onboarding click .
- Congratulations! You’ve completed your onboarding. You will be able to see your mask in your Email mask dashboard.
Enable/disable Relay on online forms
If Relay is already enabled, you'll see the option to create an email alias. If this option is not visible:
Click the Relay icon
in the toolbar. If you don't see the icon, click the extensions
button and then click Firefox Relay.
- Click the settings icon at the top right corner of the panel.
- Click the switch next to Show Relay icon on email fields on websites to turn it on or off (green means it's on).
