I received a request for donations for the 100th time. I have donated to the group more than once, and coincidentally, my system crashed and prompted me to make another donation. We need a permanent fix to stop the donation requests and get Thunderbird functioning properly.

I've been using Thunderbird for decades. I have Thunderbird set to automatically download messages every 5 minutes. Platform: Computer Win11 Home, Thunderbird 128.10.0esr (64-bit), POP3 connection (also with IMAP connection on a MacOS computer.

But a new issue is now occurring. Every so often now, I realize I haven't received any new email downloads in some time. I click on the Get Messages button (or right-click and select items individually), but nothing happens - no "Host Contacted..." message in the Status Bar. It's like the Get Messages function is completely disabled. It is only when I quit then restart Thunderbird does it successfully establish a connection and download the many queued emails.

Please let me know if this is a known bug, or if there is a way to submit this as a bug. Also let me know of any other information you would need in order to help debug this issue. Thanks!

I had to reinstall Thunderbird after getting an update/error message. After reinstalling it, my ScanSnap scanner won't send to my email anymore. I have reset all my settings to what they should be but it still won't scan to my email. The error message I get is "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client." I have Thunderbird set as my mail client right now.

I've use Firefox or Foxfire for several years at the time I installed it I was using Windows 10. I now have Windows 11. Ever time I try to access he internet a window comes up and ask me to create an email address with Gemini. Google or Microsoft will not let me access my internet, [email removed]@nquinnlaw.com. How do I use Mozilla to access my email.

Recently I'm having an issue with Firefox that makes it so when I try to open it, it simply refuses to do so. Say on my desktop I double click the icon it will open for a split second and then instantly close and refuse to do anything afterwards. This is very frustrating, and I haven't yet discovered a solution and would really like to be able to use Firefox again. What is really strange is that this is a persistent problem not only on my laptop but at my pc as well which are two separate devices. If anybody can help or has experience with this problem to offer incite it would deeply be appreciated.

This has happened the last two times I've tried to write a reply. I will be writing along and all of a sudden the screen dims and I get the blue circle thingy. Thunderbird locks up and doesn't come back but the red exit button is available. Of course, I lose all the reply I've written. I've never run into this error before and I've been using Thunderbird for years. I'm running v. 139.0.2 (64-bit) on a win-11 laptop, Firefox in the background but no other programs running. I clear my cache at the beginning of every month, so I did that this morning before starting any programs.

Recently I noticed that in ALL of my Local Folders, I can no longer see any of the content. The headers show like normal, but I cannot open / read the content (presumably contained therein).

I have tried repairing individual folders, but nothing changes.

I have tried eliminating the .msf file, but nothing changes. A new .msf file is created, but the content is still not visible.

If I try and reply to a local email, the email is empty with the exception of the subject. Even though it shows the sender of the email (i.e. From), neither the email address nor the email content is copied into the reply.

I am slowly starting to worry that the individual files storing the email content are corrupt, but if I open the content file (i.e. non-.msf file) with Word, I get what I presume is the first / oldest email, but nothing more (even though the files are many MB large).

Is it significant that I have both "Local Folders" and "Local Folders.sbd" (as folders)? The content within them appears to be similar if not identical.

My email is stored on a NAS which I can access from any computer on my network (presuming I have set up Thunderbird appropriately); can this contribute to the issue?

Any other ideas which might lead to such an annoying issue? I really don't want to have lost all my emails for the past 20+ years.

Suddenly they broke after the 140.0 update, but as it turns out, this is the case everywhere. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Verified on: Firefox Desktop, Chromium Desktop, Firefox Mobile Font: Calibri (No changes), Roboto (No changes) I've scoured half the internet, as if I were the only one with this problem...

I shop on several websites, and the customer review section does not appear on the product pages. Thinking extensions may be to blame, I tried opening those particular websites in a new private window. But I still was unable to see the reviews. It works fine on Edge. Is there any way to fix this?

I receive email fine. The website email works fine. I cannot send email via thunderbird and have not changed my settings which worked for years. my smtp account. I have rebooted my Windows 10 pc numerous times. What can do this? How can I fix this>

I'm trying to go into my work place drivers only webb site And the stupid GoDaddy thing keeps blocking me!!! Why am I being blocked from site I have book marked??? I don't want the stupid GoDaddy blooming me!!!

When I use Mozilla's VPN service...many mozilla vpn servers will block me from sending out emails giving this error message:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Service unavailable; Client host [23.234.88.xxx] blocked using clients.rbl.e-scout.net; host 23.234.88.xxx blocked due to abusive behavior from your network. Please contact servers@ispn.net for resolution.. Please check the message recipient "xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.com" and try again.

Mosilla's VPN service is blocking its own Thunderbird software from functioning...lolol Are you going to fix this Mozilla??? Looks like you're tripping over your own feet...

When I tried to log in to my Google Email account, the authorization pop-up window that appeared was completely blank. I have tried operations such as re-logging in, but it still didn't work.

I am using my University of Florida email (https://www.mail.ufl.edu/), IMAP. When I turn on Thunderbird and I send messages, everything is good for a few hours. After that, when I send an email I get this error every time:

Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent-XXXX@XXX.

How can this be solved? Only way to fix is closing Thunderbird or rebooting, then problem represents itself. But then I lose the sent emails.

Note: could the problem be that by Default Thunderbird saves emails in a different sent folder? Which is not ideal, because when I send from my phone or from the web things go in a different folder than when i send from Thunderbird. Should I tick off "others"? in the attached pic? How should I consolidate the 2 "sent" folder into one? Should I manually copy them? Or after I select "others", they consolidate themself. I dont wanna do a mess, can you please provide step by step instructions.

starting at the update before the most recent one (currently june 30 2025) my firefox browser on my windows 10 pc simply doe not work at all. i am surprised it actually loaded the support page allowing me to write this, but every other page i try to open gets stuck in infinite loading. next thing i am going to try is uninstalling/reinstalling I GUESS. firefox on my other PC and phone are totally fine. is this bc i am running windows 10? please help :C i installed chrome and its absolutely awful
