I use firefox 83.0 on Ubuntu 20.04. Browser does not play videos on Twitter, Reddit or Netflix. Youtube plays some videos but some videos show error "your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available". I cannot find any viable solution. what should I do?

I installed chrome and it plays all the videos. So there must not be any problem in OS.

Been using Firefox for years and have never had this problem before. Recently upgraded to V 20.0.1 and since then Cut/Copy/Paste will not work. Have tried Resetting and have even tried a complete uninstall and reinstall neither has worked. Unfortunately I need to use these features on a daily basis and if I can't get this fixed I'm going to have to move on to anther browser.

All other apps (like Chrome, Spotify, and audio configuration sound test) sound fine.

I've tried -safe-mode, re-installing, and removing duplicate Flash plugins. My /etc/hosts file is Xhosts, I've cleared the cache, pulseaudio is running, all pop-ups are allowed,

Description: Ubuntu 18.10 Codename: cosmic Linux Who 4.18.0-16-generic #17-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb 8 00:06:57 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux buster/sid GNOME Shell 3.30.2

For sound-test I've used both of these in both Chrome and Firefox: http://camendesign.com/code/video_for_everybody/test.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo01PcgxHMU

I am running Firefox 66.0.5 on a computer running Windows 10 Enterprise. A couple of weeks ago, I think it was following a Firefox crash, every time I start Firefox, disk usage on my computer jumps to 100%, and it cripples my machine. I have to kill Firefox, which isn't always so easy.

I found last week that I am able to start Firefox in safe mode.

I could refresh Firefox, but I'm not totally clear what I will lose. I could also download the newest version of Firefox. I have just used MozBackup to make a backup.

Is it possible to identify why Firefox is acting this way? And what's my best solution for fixing it?

Hi all, am using Debian linux with Firefox 60.8.0esr (64-bit). I know the whole spiel about Firefox not supporting java applets any longer, but I have some old IoT devices that i need to get configured and they use a java applet for some portions of the configuration. I understand Firefox ESR 52 still supports java applets, and i've downloaded version 52.9.0esr and extracted it to its own location. Now i can start it without interferin with my v60 profile by running it like: "./firefox --no-remote --profile ." I had to go into options and turn off the automatic update because otherwise it updates it to v60. Then I downloaded jre-8u221-linux-x64.tar.gz and extracted that. Now the question is how do i get the plugin installed into the Firefox v52? thanks

Ever since the end of February Firefox has had a habit of crashing on me at random, usually just a tab or so but there's been times where the whole browser just ups and crashes. I am using Firefox 73.0.1 (64-bit) on a Windows 7 Professional computer.

1. This mainly occurs when viewing a video (mostly Youtube), scrolling down on pages, or opening or switching to a new tab.

2. Beforehand if there were issues it would take a few seconds to load the tab, now it just instantly crashes.

3. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, clearing everything, turning off add-ons, and changing options and nothing has worked. At best, I've stopped it from crashing on launch and disabling add-ons.

4. This issue does not happen on other browsers, nor has my computer shown any unusual behavior.

5. It did not start immediately with the new update, which I got the 20th. It started occurring a week or so after.
