i want to kepp my original profile as the new ones ccreate more problems as i lose everything i have and have to start from new can i keep my old profile as i am not liking the new irefox perhaps others do i do not please

Firefox does not ask where to save downloads. They are simply saved automatically and then opened.,

1. I have no idea where a PDF was saved to when it opens.

2. When it is open (it opens in Foxit Reader), I can not delete the PDF. (aside: I consider this is flaw, but that is Foxit Reader's problem, not Firefox's. Or, is it really?)

I want downloads save to the same place ALWAYS or I want the option to ALWAYS specify where to save a download.

How do I achieve that goal?

When I try to set up the new built-in VPN setting it gets stuck in a loop:

I click the "get started" which then opens another tab where it gets me to confirm my account

Once I do that it says it will automatically open the VPN

When it does so the VPN window is the same one as before with just the "get started" button and no other options.

If I click on that it then opens another new tab and does the exact same thing in an unending loop

do you want to lose your original people cause that is what you have done you have lost me i am able to try and keep tthe original profile but for how long with the new foi irefox i have lost all my password my extentions book marks and al ihave put there it is horrible and i am sure i am not he only one complaining about it I HATE THE NEWEST VERSION

I couldn't log into a site and it was suggested to 'clear cache' as follows: - settings - privacy and security - cookies and site data - clear browsing data BUT only cookies and temp cache sites. By mistake I believe I ticked browsing and download history too, and looks as though it is irrersible? Now I no longer automatically get all the little boxes I used to get for usual regular log ins (eg The Times, Meteo, banks, email etc) I think I can use 'add shortcuts' and re-enter these, but any other suggestions? I just went to The IRS and filled out a pdf form to change my address and the print or font was in blue text I Want it it to always be in Black font text please let me know how to do it. I have font contrast and blacken as extensions. Do I need to do t in my windows 10 computer

There are a million links when searching this problem; none of the fixes work and a search on this site was nothing more than FAQs about bookmarks and what they used for, blah blah. Astonishing, for such a big issue that seems to be a legacy problem now. So little clarity over the gazillion alleged fixes for this. Tempts you to get a browser with paid professional support... The consultants I support as a programmer and using Firefox are asking again frequently, "Any idea when we'll get a clean version that simply fixes all the bugs and forgets about flashy new shit and all that ?" A very compelling question...

Is there a handy fix I can transmute easily and won't have to waste hours on for each person etc ?

There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what Firefox keeps in the address bar drop-down, sometimes websites I visited once for a specific reason will stay there for literal months, and websites I go to often don't show up at all, or vanish after a few days (during which I will be actively clicking on them, no less).

I know it's probably a bit weird, but I actually like keeping several specific websites in the drop-down menu, it makes it easy to navigate to them without cluttering my bookmarks (any more than they already are). How do I keep specific websites in the address bar's drop down?

I have a new xfinity account with XB7 gateway. All of my devices are connected and operational. Attempts to use Fire Fox and most other browsers to access the internet are blocked with the following notification: "Your connection isn't private. Attackers may be trying to steal your information from www.firefox.com (for example passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID. This same message shows up with attempts to open browsers from bing, google, etc. However Wikipedia opens with no error notification.

Hello. I recently started using the built-in VPN in Firefox.

According to the Use built-in VPN in Firefox information page, I should be able to see the data usage in my Settings. However, when i look there, I can see "Manage websites" block and the "Get more protection" block, but I cannot see the "Monthly Data Limit" indicator that's supposed to sit between them.

I am running Firefox 152.0.4 on Windows 10

Am I looking in the right place for the VPN data usage? Is there another place to find the Data Usage?

This is unbelievable ! I posted this again in response to somebody not being able to comprehend, "Bookmark Spacing Vertical Intervals Not Optimized". What the Hell else do I need to add to clarify that ? You don't want, can't or refuse to answer -- I get that. But DO NOT rope-a-dope me be typing it's not clear or you don't comprehend what, Bookmark Spacing Vertical Intervals Not Optimized means. It is a clear, concise description of an IT problem. I have zero clue how to describe it any other way. This is flabbergasting -- it is a well-known problem but all the solutions offered I have seen are garbage. Am wasting huge amounts of time and money, neighbor ! I can't submit a bill for all this runaround !

Google has not worked on Firefox for me for the last 2-3 days and always gives the same error message: " The connection has timed out. The server at www.google.co.uk is taking too long to respond."

This issue only exists in Firefox, not in Opera or Edge. I have tried clearing the cache, using using Troubleshoot Mode, changing proxy settings to No Proxy, disabling antivirus, restarting the browser, and restarting my PC. None of these have made any difference, not even a slightly different error message. Google does, however, still work on my Firefox for Android.

As far as I can tell so far, Google is the only website affected by this issue, every other website works fine. Gmail and YouTube also still work fine, it's really only Google search.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, so I always have a bunch of tab groups as it helps me organize my tabs. But every time I accidentally close Firefox or my pc resets, all the tab groups are gone. UNLIKE google chrome where, even if I close chrome they will be on the toolbar for me to open again. So could you please add this feature on firefox as well because this is getting very irritating because I have to open the individual tabs again and again? Thank you.
