Hi, In a nutshell, I need to have the Bookmarks Sidebar remain PERMANENTLY on the left side of my Firefox page. After an update, it now disappears if I change pages, and must be manually reinstalled on the new page.

I've been a Mozilla Firefox user since Mozilla Firefox was born. I currently use Linux 24.04 Desktop and Windows 11. This problem exists on both platforms: I've always kept my bookmarks displayed in a vertical column on the left side of the screen. I will call this a Sidebar. Whenever I brought up a new page, my bookmarks were automatically there to greet me in my Sidebar. Always. Now my Sidebar is gone. It seems to have been replaced by the Toolbar, which appears horizontally across the top of the screen, and it is awful.

I've tried very hard to restore the old way of doing things... I've spent several hours reading the solutions offered to countless numbers of people who have experienced the same problem. I've poured through the Firefox manuals. Nothing works. I've always been able to make things work in Firefox. But not this time.

The closest I've come is Ctrl-B. And of course my trusty "Book" icon in the top tray will also bring up the Sidebar when I go to a new page and click it.. But the problem is that I have to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to a new page.

So here I am, begging for help. Please, please don't tell me to go again to the Settings Help Menu and press the "bookmarks" button, and follow the instructions . I've gone down an eternity of empty roads doing that. I'm not saying the solution isn't there, but if it is, it is hidden in a serpentine maze that has always led me back to square one.

Just tell me:

Either 1: "We goofed. There's no way to fix it without asking you to go digging into system files and risking the life of your Firefox Browser. Our guys will do the repair and send it to you along with a future Firefox update. Be patient."

Or 2: "Here's how you can, at home, make the Sidebar appear vertically on the left side of each page, PERMANENTLY. All you have to do is follow these explicit instructions that are guaranteed to work..."

This does appear to be, at best, a very annoying problem for countless thousands of your faithful users. Please help.

Thank you!

I recently started having a problem with my banking website. Before I could investigate or report it, Mozilla released a bug fix 1923500 "Firefox 131 Enhanced Tracking Protection major breakage of multiple banks Bill Pay services" I have updated to Firefox 131 however, there may still be a problem, however before I report it I'd like to verify if it's simply that their link is broken. Let me explain: On my bank's website there is "Payment Inquiry" link with this link "https://paybills.MyBankName.com/imm/Auth/SLO/4661?ReturnUrl="

What happens is that it sends me back to the login screen, I navigate to the Payment Inquiry again, click the link... rinse and repeat... in an endless loop. I suspect that the URL is malformed because there is nothing following the "=" sign. I would expect something to follow the equal sign. Is this indeed a bad URL? Should I pursue with my bank? I only ask because is seemed more than a coincidence that this occurred near the same time as bug fix 1923500.

I have been using Firefox for years. Currently using 131.0.2 on Windows 10 Pro. Never had a problem with Bitwarden auto filling useernames and passwords to login to a website. Now I have to copy and paste each one. I appreciate using Firefox but this new incompatibility with Bitwarden is a deal breaker. I've tried going thru the menus and help forums and have found nothing to allow Bitwarden to auto fill passwords. I'll move everything over to Microsoft Edge where Bitwarden auto fills the same way Firefox has done until recently.

I want to disable 2fa. I FINALLY was able to find authentication codes (10 digit) and am able to sign in to support. I simply want to sign in and sync (after upgrading OS and reinstalling Firefox). I kept running in to issues signing in because it wanted a six digit authorization from a auth app which I did not have set up

My blog has started displaying the message, "Firefox can't open this page". The message also says, "To protect your security, accounts.google.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window." But opening it in a new window didn't work. I tried clearing the cache, and pasting the link into a new open tab, but neither helps. I tried opening it in Safari, and that works fine, so this seems to be a Firefox problem. Any suggestion?

I've had this issue on and off where I'll be browsing the internet just fine, go to open a new tab, and when I click over it gives me the "we're having trouble finding that site" message even though I'm connected to the Internet. Usually I'll just spam the refresh button, and it loads the page just fine in another minute or so, so it's not that specific websites are being blocked. This issue actually went away for a little while and then came back after I had uninstalled and then reinstalled Firefox yesterday (I was having an issue where the Firefox icon would pop up twice on my taskbar, which now seems to be resolved). But now it seems that Firefox is intermittently losing internet access, and I'm pretty sure I've tried to troubleshoot this before and didn't get anywhere with it.

I now have windows 11 but this issue goes back to 10 as well. Every time Fire Fox updates it breaks all my sign ons to every page I have an account with. And Fire Fox updates a lot. I've had this issue for years and have seeked support before to no avail. Every single website sees it as a new browser. I can click on "trust this browser" but it sees it as a different browser after every update.

Lately every time I use FireFox, it will crash. Also there is one web page, resortcams.com that Firefox will either crash or lock up my PC so that I have to reboot the PC. Using another browser, DuckDuckGO, I have no issues viewing this web page. I checked with resortcams and they found no issues on their end. This problem has just recently occurred, las t couple of months. I use MicroTrend as my antivirus and Microsoft Bing as my search engine. I am running Windows 10. My PC can not run Windows 11. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be. Thank you, Grant Olson
