I don't know why, but when I browse pages in English, the context menu offers to "translate selection into Hebrew". This is weird and totally unwanted. I don't know how FF decided that I need translations, and specifically to Hebrew!

In the settings, my preferred language is "English (US)". In "translation settings", the list of "Translation will happen automatically for the following languages" is empty, and the list of "Translation will not be offered for the following languages" has Hebrew and French. (I would add English but I don't see how.)

Is there a way to just remove this translation option from the context menu?

For a while now firefox has been unable to enter fullscreen when pressing F11. Instead all it does is move the "Scroll forwards", "Open a new tab", and "List all tabs" button over slightly (The buttons on the top right, next to the minimize and close buttons).

I don't know what's going on with firefox.

I’ve been using Firefox for 5 years now and I absolutely love it. I recently bought a new laptop, but I’ve run into an issue. On my old laptop, I was able to use multiple Firefox profiles at the same time—similar to how Chrome handles profiles.

On the old setup, when I clicked the three-line (menu) button, I could see my second profile there and switch between profiles with just one click. After installing Firefox on my new laptop, I can’t find that option anymore.

I know some of you might suggest using about:profiles to switch profiles. Yes, I’m aware of that method, but I find it inconvenient because I’d have to type about:profiles every time, which is a bit of a time waste for me. I really want the same quick-switch option I had before.

How can I get that functionality back? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I’m already using the latest version (142.0.1, 64-bit).

I feel like I've tried everything to stop Firefox from automatically opening when I start my Windows 11 computer.

I've checked: task manager, the startup folder in Windows 11 (shell:startup), The registry under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run", Settings>Apps>Startup, and also in Firefox under Settings>"Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up", and under "about:config">toolkit.winRegisterApplicationRestart (change value to false).

Can anyone tell me why Firefox is still automatically launching at startup of Windows 11?

Facebook simply isn't loading in Firefox anymore - it loads in Edge on my PC just fine and on my Mobile Android Browser .

I've tried disabling all extensions, and clearing cache and cookies, but Facebook still refuses to load and returns the message, attached.

When I access Facebook via Firefox browser there usually are issues - site does not load properly, videos stop working, and more. I do not encounter the same problems with other browsers.

i have been using firefox for years without issues. just now i booted up on my laptop and a reset firefox question came up so i thought oh okay why not? I LOST MY FB PAGE/400+ FRIENDS... I am unable to sign into my own web page. Initially the web host welcomes me. When I click on "open cPanel" i am taken to a sign-in page. I can sign in to my web page using Safari. You can help by solving this problem for me.

I follow the instructions to pin an extension, but when I click on the jigsaw icon, I'm taken to the add-on manager page with the ability to review recommendations and manage the extensions and themes. There is no option to pin any extension. I saw this issue on an expired post to Mozilla but the answer was incorrect.

Any ideas? I can't access my password manager extension even though it's there....

My computer is running very slowly on Firefox. It takes forever to load anything on Facebook, or my Bank, or any other site where I want to use Firefox. I have DuckDuckGo for search, and that is really slow, too. So I thought that maybe Firefox needs to be updated. But I don't know where to find the Menu Bar. I am 80 years old and don't know the computer "jargon." By coming here I lost your step-by-step directions about what to do AFTER I find the Menu!

I am taking a course on Coursera, and while the video lessons are viewable on my W10 box running Firefox 142.0.1 (64-bit), on my W7 box running Firefox 115.27.0esr (64-bit) the Coursera page, after briefly displaying the lesson's home page, which includes the normal video playback window, reports "This page encountered an error." I have contacted Coursera, to no avail, and now seek advice from you all. I suppose I can not return on my W7 box to the normal Firefox non-esr releases, but was something changed therein of late that would cause this? It all worked well in July, but now won't work at all.
