Hey all,

I use an Alcatel One Touch Fire with Firefox OS 1.1.0.0-prerelease, Firmware Version 01010B and Hardware Version 11. After the device is left unused for a few hours, the display cannot be switched on again. When connected to a PC, the blue lamp turns on, but there is no other reaction and I cannot get access to the SD Card. "adb devices" gets me a ???????????? no permissions even though external debugging is activated. The issue can only be resolved by doing a hard reboot (remove the battery).

What could the problem be? Is it hardware related and I should contact the vendor? Or is it a bug within Firefox OS?

Greetings

Hello,

After reading the information provided about your issue I suggest a soft reset of the phone.

  1. Take the back cover of the phone off.
  2. Take the battery out.
  3. Take the SIM card and microSD card out (if applicable).
  4. Wait 10 seconds.
  5. Put the SIM card and microSD card back in (if applicable).
  6. Put the battery back in.
  7. Put the back cover back on.
  8. Turn the device on.
  9. Check if the issue you were having is still present.

Are you able to turn on the device? When you charge it, does it remain charging all the time or does it complete? I suspect you may have a defective device in which you should contact your place of purchase but we need to double check here first.  :) Please report back to us if this solved your problem!

Thank you

Hey,

thanks for your help. I followed your advice and so far no problems (it has only been a few hours though). I will observe it now and if it happens again, I'll send it in.
