you will find mac firefox version here download and install it on your mac computer no cd is tequired http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

These instructions assume access to the internet via some kind of browser-- I need to manually load a browser via a cd-- I have the latest version of MAC

Hi,

Mozilla doesn't make DVDs or CDs of Firefox unfortunately. You may be able to obtain one however by getting a friend to burn one.

Sorry about that!

Curtis

Or, use a friends computer to download a copy of Firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ and save it to a USB Thumbdrive. No need to burn a CD.

Another possibility is to download the file via ftp.

Open a terminal window and issue the next commands, omit the comments between the parenthesis ().

  • Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Terminal
ftp
open ftp.mozilla.org
username: anonymous
password: anonymous (not echoed; so easiest is to paste anonymous in the name and the password)
cd pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/mac/en-US
ls (verify that you are in the correct directory)
binary
lcd ~ (save the file to the home directory)
get "Firefox 25.0.dmg"
(verify that you have the "Firefox 25.0.dmg" file in the home directory)
bye
