Getting 2 firefox browser windows on restart and two icons in taskbar since update

after the last update which was very nice btw.. I get two windows pop up of fiirefox browser with my remembered tabs. I added all to just one browser window and for a while it was fine. Now again two windows with different tabs are popping up when I restart the computer. how do I remove one of them
