So starting yesterday I noticed that when ever I go to alt tab out of Firefox, the page I'm currently on goes back a page and I've narrowed it down to my Alt key being the culprit. This only effects Firefox, as I've checked other browsers and I can tab out just fine there. I've tried restarting FireFox to its default state and restarted my system but the issue persists. If anyone has any advice how to solve this I'd greatly appreciate it as this issue has become quite annoying.

I think I just found the issue which is equally perplexing to me. I had noticed my mouse was auto scrolling menu bars, so I dusted out the port and USB to fix that and it also fixed my Alt key being page back, but thanks for the help!

Hello valiriversong,

I read your post and it seemed odd, almost like something might be held down without you knowing. This is what I would do in your situation and thought I would share:

  1. Firefox has keyboard shortcuts. Of note is that the Back command is ALT + Backspace or ALT+ <-.
  1. On Windows 10 you can open the On-Screen Keyboard that will show what you are pressing on the keyboard. You could possibly use this as a way to see if other keys (such as the backspace) are somehow getting pressed when you perform an ALT + TAB.
