Firefox Downloads files into temp folder on my linux machine after updates , it does not go to Download folder which is there in settings.

It started a while ago , firefox is not downloading the files in setted destination of Downloads folder , it downloads files to \tmp folder in my ubuntu machine, i tried to change the setting and made it "Ask destination every time" , but strangely it did not even asked and again downloaded into same \tmp folder.
