The Firefox homepage is the first page you see when you open Firefox, click the Home button  or start a new window. By default, Firefox uses the New Tab page as your home page. This article explains how to set your Firefox home page.

Set or change your home page through the Home button

1. Open the web page you want to use as your home page.
2. Drag and drop that tab onto the Home button on your toolbar.

   

3. Click Yes on the prompt to set this page as your home page.

Set your home page through Firefox Settings

1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (select Preferences on older macOS versions).Click the menu button and select Settings.
2. Click the Home panel.
   
3. Click the menu next to Homepage and new windows and choose to show the default Firefox Home page, custom URLs or a blank page.

If you want to use a specific search engine on your homepage:

1. Go to your preferred search engine and copy the URL.
2. After choosing Custom URLs… in the Homepage and new windows menu, paste the copied URL into the Paste a URL… field.
3. Set your new URL as your default search engine in Settings > Search > Default Search Engine section.

Set multiple pages as your home page

You can set a group of pages as your home page.

1. Open each page you want as your home page in a separate tab.
2. Go to Settings > Home > New Windows and Tabs section.
3. Select Custom URLs… from the Homepage and new windows drop-down menu.
4. Click Use Current Pages

   

Remove ads or customize content on your homepage

If you see ads or unwanted content:

• Make sure you didn’t set a third-party site as your homepage.
• You can change your homepage to a blank page or a trusted site in Settings > Home.
• Consider using an add-on for a minimal or photo-based homepage.
