is there a way to change the background colour of a web link when selected in the bookmarks sidebar?

when a web address is selected from the list of saved bookmarks in the bookmark sidebar, the colour change of the selected link is almost indistinguishable from a not selected link. is there a way of making the selected link more distinguishable?
