hello champader - this is merely used for gathering download metrics by mozilla & has no influence otherwise - you're using a legitimate/normal copy of firefox.

in case you want to change that nevertheless, uninstall firefox from the windows control panel (DON'T select remove personal data in the uninstaller, otherwise your bookmarks, passwords & settings will be gone). afterwards manually delete the Mozilla Firefox program folder (usually resides in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox on your pc) and download & install a new copy from getfirefox.com.

Yes, you can download it again without funnelcake. People are randomly chosen to install it. And it is not essential.

And I find it weird as well since there is next to zero information on recent funnelcake goals these days. Years ago it was used to do some specific studies about Firefox users but I have no idea what they're looking for these days.
