I have a problem with the way urls/bookmarks are selected in Aurora 12.0a2. If I just type in a word Aurora not only selects one of my favorites, bookmarks or visisted sites but it also auto loads them.
If i keep completing the url by adding the domain ending (like .com) Aurora isn't bothered at all and still keeps the selected site active and after pressing return the url changes to the already falsely loaded site. I assume this behavior can be changed using about:config ... I just can't figure out which entry it might be.
about:config values I think might be relevant:
- browser.urlbar.autoFill - false
- browser.urlbar.autocomplete.enabled - true
- browser.urlbar.default.behavior - 0
- browser.urlbar.match.title - #
- browser.urlbar.match.url - @
- browser.urlbar.matchBehavior - 1
- browser.urlbar.maxRichResults - 12

Having investigated further I think it has to do with Aurora auto-selecting the first entry in the drop down suggestions menu. If i deselect the entry and continue typing it will trigger the google search. How can I disable the entry being auto-selected?
Look for one of the Aurora support threads over here:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=23
Far more Aurora testers over there.
ok, I see .... could an admin please move the question into the correct forum then?
Sorry, that is a completely separate forum from this one.
This forum - support.mozilla.org is about 4 years old now. MozillaZine was established almost 14 years ago, in 1998, as an independent Mozilla news, community and advocacy site. MozillaZine is not run by the Mozilla Foundation and is not an official part of the Mozilla project. MozillaZine is hosted at the Open Source Lab at Oregon State University.
Most of the long term users and add-on developers never transitioned to this newer support forum, so most testers of pre-release versions of Firefox are over there.
