I can't get Firefox to load. When I click on the icon the page doesn't load and it is not responding

My FF stalled so I closed the window. When I click on the ff icon, the page comes up but the page is blank and when I right click the f icon it says the application is not responding

From your question I am going to assume that this is the first time that you've encountered this issue. Applications, like Firefox, can become responsive for various reasons. I would suggest killing the Firefox process. If you're not familiar with the steps to do so you can simply reboot your system.

Try to reset the launch services:

Try to repair the disk permissions:
