To remove the Ask toolbar, try here: Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions category If you have a Disable button but not Remove or Uninstall button, you might need to use the Windows Control Panel to uninstall it. --- By the way, your post shows Firefox 3.6.6, which is an insecure version. You should update at least to 3.6.18. You can do that using Help > Check for updates. If you don't have 3.6.6, please indicate which version you actually have.
