when I click the ff icon it doesn't do anything...will not start
Firefox will not work at all when I click the icon. I tried to reinstall and didn't work. There are no error messages.

You could try starting Firefox in Safe Mode. This is a diagnostic mode you can use to test whether Firefox runs normally when your add-ons are temporarily disabled. You also can use it to make permanent changes.
