WhenI logged onto firefox the start page had an urgent! sign that said that my computer was unprotected and that I should download something,and click here. I clicked downloaded 3.6.13.exe. Is that right? The start page still says urgent! Ineed to download andupdate to protect my computer.

To update Firefox to the current release version (Firefox 3.6.13), in the Help menu select "Check for updates", this should then let you upgrade to Firefox 3.6.13
An alternative method is to download the Firefox 3.6.13 setup file from http://www.mozilla.com - you can then run the setup file to install Firefox 3.6.13
