Save target as and Firefox desktop icon

1. IE has a save target as choice on internet links that I need to download Gedcom files from Ancestry. This is not apparently a choice in Firefox. How do I save targets as files on my computer using Firefox. 2. My desktop icon suddenly changed from the fiery globe to a vanilla windows icon. How do I get it back? Usint Windows 7 64-bit and Firefox 3.6.13.

In Firefox the name of that context menu item is : "Save Link as.."
