Running Firefox 3.6.9 on Windows XP. Having started experiencing numerous "crashes" on a lot of different websites and computer is responds very slow on all websites I try to visit.
Have to switch over to Chrome to read all emails or it crashes. Would it help to uninstall Firefox completely and start over? Don't want to give up Firefox, but it has gotten way to slow and crashes to much.

Mostly I have noticed that Firefox itself is slower to load. It's incredibly slow if I don't use Firefox pre-loader.
What is "Firefox pre-loader" and does it speed Firefox up?
