Hello, in Thunderbird I would like to set up my own acknowledgment of receipt for incoming mails. How can I do that?
(In the forum I only found the setting that I get a receipt.)

If you click 'account settings' and then look in left sidebar, there is a link to 'return receipts' under each account. Click there to set your receipt acknowledgement. Did I misunderstand the question?
I've already been there. I'm looking for the setting to edit my acknowledgement of receipt, which goes to the sender from me, or to edit text. In my Thunderbird, I can only change the basic settings via your way, whether acknowledgement of receipt is sent or not and how it has to behave for me with acknowledgement of receipt.
I can't edit the text.
Here is an alternate approach:
- create your receipt message as a new message
- when done, click file>save as>template
- next, click tools>message filters
- create a filter for the account and in the actions section, click the 'reply with template' option and then select your reply message.
