I do not see my Sent messages using Thunderbird lately. Why?

A few days ago I sent emails and did not see the usual "Saving to Sent (IMAP)". Instead it said something like saving to Sent folder. That's fine, but the emails didn't appear in my Thunderbird Sent folders. I downloaded Thunderbird to see if my version was obsolete. Still no emails in Sent folder. The internet said I could delete my Sent folder, and Thunderbird would re-establish Sent folder. It did not. I can still see my old emails in my Local Thunderbird sent mail, so I deleted about 100 old emails in case the folder was too full. Still, the new emails I was sending did not appear. I checked with a few recipient people and they told me the email go to them. I have tried all the "solutions" I can find. What else can I do to see copies of my outgoing emails.?

Check your 'copies&folders' pane in 'account settings' to review what your setting is.

Yes, I appreciate the reply, but I looked at "Copies & Folders", and it says "Place a copy in: "Sent" Folder on: bert@sandiegofilamdancing.com.

And, "Keep message archives in: "Archives" Folder on: Local Folders"

That looks good, but neither "Sent" folder or "Archives" folder appears in the left column of Account Settings. The internet says Thunderbird will create those folders if they do not appear. But they do not appear. And I cannot find my outgoing messages. What am I doing wrong?

Is this an IMAP account? Are you using unified folders? If so, highlight 'Sent' and rightclick and choose properties and then click 'choose' to see if there is a tick box for the missing sent folder.

Also, if IMAP, log onto the account online via web browser to see if the sent folder and messages appear.

Thanks for responding, but I still can't find my outgoing email in Thunderbird. I do not know if I have an IMAP account, or if I am using unified folders. Right now I see 7 folders in my Thunderbird account Settings, including Copies & Folders, which was a dead end previously.

Regarding "if IMAP", well I do not know. Prior to a couple weeks ago, I waited about a minute after sending emails while Thunderbird said something like "sending to IMAP". Recently, when my outgoing email stopped being put into "Sent", Thunderbird simultaneously stopped "sending to IMAP", and "sending to Sent" (or similar words) appeared, but no emails appeared in my since-deleted Sent folder.

I tried to log in to my account from my Firefox browser. I could not find a log in website, much less even to log in. My Mozilla account password is ghj567*( - but I found no Thunderbird or Mozilla website to enter the password to log in to anything.

I also tried to add a Sent folder into my Account Settings myself. The Internet says: "You can add a missing Sent folder to your account by subscribing to it from your mail server.Subscribing to the Sent FolderOpen Mozilla Thunderbird on your computer.Find your email account name in the left panel.Right-click on your account name (your email address) and select Subscribe...Click Refresh to load the list from your server.Look for Sent, Sent Items, or Sent Mail in the list.Check the box next to the folder and click Subscribe, then click OK"

But , none of that worked -- when I right clicked on my account name (email address), nothing appeared, especially no "Subscribe".

Is there a way to see all my outgoing emails in Thunderbird?
