Thunderbird does not fetch e-mails from gmx.de-account anymore

Thunderbird does not fetch e-mails from gmx.de-account anymore. Thunderbird shows that I have new e-mails from this account but does not show the e-mails. The inbox is empty.

Thunderbird fetches only those e-mails send from my own gmx.de-account and those from a certain gmail.com-account that belongs to a person who keeps sending unwanted e-mails.

How can this be fixed?

It gets mine from GMX.com. From the 91 release version all the way to the nightly developer version.

Do you see any error messages?

Thank you for your reply. However, this has not solved the problem. In Thunderbird the e-mail-account turns blue to indicate there's a new e-mail, yet no new e-mail shows up in the inbox.
