Mac Big Sur Thunderbird needs font control in Preferences. Way too small. What's up?

Minute text size in Inbox of Thunderbird 78 on Mac Big Sur 11. Needs font control in Preferences. Way too small. What's up?

Discussions of Chrome.ss (?) files and questions about systems and devices are beside the point. Great program. Efficient.

Not being able to read Inbox makes it useless. This is a long standing problem that should be solved within the system.

use the config editor to change the setting layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.25 or even 1.50. (That is 125% and 150% of what it is now respectively.) If those are not quite right chose a value that might be right for you.

Progress in small steps. Listing of messages now legible. Font size in messages all over the place. Old messages very small. New messages very large. Love Thunderbird. Help.
