Firefox Home: Unable to Add to Top Sites

What it says on the tin.

I just refreshed my firefox browser, and so now my Home is completely empty. Attempting to manually enter a website and add it to my Top Sites does not appear to have any effect, merely returns me to my very empty Home page.

The 'refresh firefox' process should really end with a prompt to restart the browser completely.
