Remove the home screen

I want to remove or set my home screen to something else other than the Firefox default.

I've managed to remove everything from the default home screen, which is a start. But I don't want a home screen at all.

Ideally, Firefox would just resume as it was the previous time it opened. That's how it worked until a recent update.

That's the plan to bring it back. This behaviour is already in Nightly.

That's good to hear. I look forward to that commit being released soon.

Hello, I am glad to hear that your problem has been resolved.

Sure, when the solution is pushed out and I can test it works, I'll mark it as resolved.

I've just updated to Firefox 83.1.0 and I don't see an option to resume from the previous tab on startup, and it still takes me to a blank "home screen", or whatever it's called. The commit referenced above was included in tag v83.0.0-beta.1, so I expected to see it.

I'm not sure, how the release process goes in detail, but there's usually ~2 months since the feature is accepted to the Nightly. That's why it's better to use the Nightly version.

OK, thanks. I installed Nightly afterall and yes, it works well. It's a shame it takes so long to make it through to release, but I guess they're trying their best to keep it stable.
