i downloaded a video on firefox after downloading it was running smoothly but when i closed the application the file was nowhere to be found the download tab of firefox showed file missing or moved,why did that happen and do i correct it

That sounds more like a cached video then a downloaded video since closing the Browser removed the video. To download the video require addons downloader to download those.
