You can follow the steps found in the Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars documentation, but certain elements like the back button and Firefox menu button cannot be removed using this method.

Note that Firefox 52.9.0 ESR is the current and last version of the Firefox 52 ESR branch. After this version you will have to update to Firefox 60 ESR to receive security updates.
