mailto set to outlook but outlook error "Navigation to Webpage Cancelled"

How are you using both Hotmail and the Outlook application with mailto?

I moved over to @outlook.com but kept the same alias as @hotmail.com but the account is set up on outlook.com. I tried opening a new account as @outlook.com and setting that as the default in the Outlook app and it does the same thing.

I set Outlook as the default for opening "Mailto" links and it sort of works now. I still get a new instance of Outlook opened with the error message but a New Message window with the link inserted also opens. Let me know if anyone knows of a setting that will open a new message window only.
