Version 38.1.5. Sometimes clicking on message won't display the message. What should I do?

The first time I upgraded to this version, it wouldn't display messages at all. So I reverted to an older version, then re-installed, with a new download, the most recent version. Now, when I click on a message title, it won't display the message. Sometimes, clicking on the previous message will display the NEXT message instead. This bug happens randomly, and some messages will display, while others will not.
