Firefox will no longer open and run,please help me get it going again.

Firefox was working fine and all at once I start getting the message, "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." What can be done to correct this and get Firefox running again. Tour help is greatly appreciated.
