how can I keep non deleted incoming emails in my inbox?
In previous versions of Thunderbird I kept all non-deleted incoming emails in my inbox. Now if I read but don't delete an email it is gone from my inbox. How can I keep read but non-deleted emails in my inbox?

have you set it to display only unread mail perhaps?
On the toolbar 
> View > Messages > all
