partial or full update doesn't work

I try to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox (v.37) but (both in partial as in full update) I only see the window asking to run or save the installer and after that "nothing". The installer file "Firefox setup Stub 37.0.1.exe (238kb) is downloaded but doesn't seems to run. On this moment I already deleted the old version, so I have to work with IE

Copied to desktop, at first installer didn't work, but using: Run as administrator solved it. Thanks for the reply

What I found out is that after clicking on the installer, I very briefly see the window with "Extracting" but it closes as quickly as it opens
Try this:
- Download the Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ - Start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
