I have old emails on my computer which I want to import into Thunderbird. This is not the same as importing from the server (I have successfully set-up my account to do that). However, I still have emails in the eMClient folder on my computer which I can't read as eMClient has crashed, quite spectacularly, and refuses to allow me to reinstall or download the the latest version. There is no provision in Thunderbird to allow importing from anything other than Eudora, Outlook and Outlook Express (quite restrictive).

Would it be possible at all to upload your messages to the email server and then simply use Thunderbird to download them? (Maybe all those emails are already in the server somewhere, check that first).

Another way would be to get those eMclient messages as EML files, that is files with EML extension. Once in that format, you can drag and drop them into the folder of choice in Thunderbird. Drag and drop into the program itself.
