How can I sync my bookmark TAGS? I can sync bookmarks but tags are what really matter.
I just performed a sync between laptops and noticed that the tags did not sync although my bookmarks did. Also, I didn't see the option to sync tabs in my firefox sync preference list. I'm hoping I can sync tags because otherwise, just the bookmarks alone aren't useful. Thanks

You can try the following:
- Open the Firefox Bookmarks Library
- From the Import and Backup button, select Export bookmarks to HTML...
- Save to file to an external storage device (USB, etc.) or online storage service (Google Drive, etc.)
- Transfer the file to the new computer
- Open the Firefox Bookmarks Library on the new computer
- For the Import and Backup button, select Import bookmarks from HTML...
Did this work? Please report back soon.
Thanks for this suggestion - this would work great for a migration from one computer to another. However, I should have been more specific that I still use both computers. Therefore I'm hoping to find a solution that will continue to sync my Firefox tags back and forth on both computers. Is this possible?
Firefox Sync is supposed to sync bookmark tags, according to this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-sync-take-your-bookmarks-and-tabs-with-you#w_how-much-of-my-data-is-synced . So you may have discovered a glitch or bug that emerged recently. Can you confirm that you didn't lose tags on the original source installation of Firefox?
(Also, I don't think the "Export" feature, which creates an HTML file in an ancient format, preserves tags. You would want to use the more modern "Backup" feature to create a JSON-format file to ensure that.)
