There is no firefox word on the top left, so I cannot access many features. How do I get it there?

Also, is there a bar where all the bookmarks appear. With Explorer there is a bar with these. Also, with Explorer when you have more than one site open, they go to the bottom of the screen and you can access them from there. How do these work for Mozilla.

Hi Jerry, Firefox has two different menu arrangements you can use:

  • orange Firefox button that opens a compact menu
  • classic full menu bar

This article describes how to switch between them: Display the Firefox button menu instead of the menu toolbar.

Note that if you don't have either of these menus, you might be in full screen mode. You can use the F11 function key to switch between full screen and normal views.

Regarding bookmarks, you can turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar using one of these:

  • right-click a blank area of the tab bar
  • tap the Alt key > View menu > Toolbars

When you have multiple tabs open in the same window in Firefox, you can choose to have them appear as separate buttons/tiles on the Windows 7 task bar, or you can have one tile per window. Which do you prefer? If you like individual tiles for each tab, check out this setting:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Tabs > "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar"
