This is so simple and so hard to explain.

So I'm gonna use a simple screenshot :

link text

As you can see here, the orange menu button is on the same line as all my bookmarks

Basically, I want the same thing on my freshly installed Mint 13

AFAIK ... impossible :/

any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Regards .

Well Firefox looks different on Mint, but you should be able to achieve something very similar. Here's what I did:

  • Make sure the bookmarks toolbar is visible by going to "view" menu -> toolbars and ensuring that "Bookmarks Toolbar" is checked
  • Right-click on the empty space to the right of the "Help" menu and select "Customize..." from the context menu.
  • You should now see a "Customize Toolbar" dialog with various icons like cut/copy/paste. Also, you should see that the bookmarks on the bookmarks toolbar have been replaced by a single item that says "Bookmarks Toolbar Items"
  • Drag that "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" up to the right of the "Help" menu
  • Hit "Done" on the "Customize Toolbar" dialog. The bookmarks should now be on the same line as the menus.
  • You can now hide the (empty) bookmarks toolbar by going to the "View" menu -> Toolbars and unchecking "Bookmarks Toolbar"

Hey thanks for the quick reply !

I tried already your solution, but the issue I met is that you are not able to reduce FF window size by dragging down the top bar ( like in windows seven for example )

Because the top bar is full of bookmarks now :(

Almost done !
