I previously had an app for email and i was able to access my email with one button.I also had icons for weather and news. When i downloaded the new mozilla firefox, all the icons disappeared. Is it possible to re gain the icons?

They would have come from an extension(s), look in your View ("Alt+V") > Toolbars > Customize, for the missing buttons, Also try "Alt+/" to toggle the display of the add-ons bar (formerly status bar).
If you still don't see them then look in your extensions for a disabled (appear afterwards) extension, then check at add-ons to see if you are up to date, or there is an experimental version or if there are user and developer comments.
