I set my apps tabs, but they don't stay.. disappear no matter how many times I set them.
Setting the apps tabs does not work. Some of them they stay up there for a few days, then they suddenly all disappear and I have to reset them every few days. Also, some of them stay up there all day, and some of them will not set at all.. they stay up there for 5 minutes, then disappear (for example, Google search will not stay up there.. is that because you don't want people to use it? I'm half-kidding.)

App tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox Profile Folder
Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Browsing History" if Firefox is closed.
I have used Firefox since it first came out, and always loved it. Firefox 4.0.1 is a different story. This must be one of the worst software upgrades across the board, of any software package I have ever used. I have stuck with it for a few weeks, and I have now finally given up.
Constant crashes, constant freezes, many plugins no longer work, my favorite among them, i.e PDF plugin to see PDF files inside the browser. AppTabs disappear over and over.
I have downgraded back to 3.6.17 and hope things will be better again.
I don't know if it was just a fluke, but I tried shutting down the Firefox application after I added my app tabs but before I opened any more pages. The app tabs remained on the start page, but they still don't show up on any additional "new windows"
