changing the new tab backround

hello i would like to know if there is a way i can have a backround when i open a new tab on firefox. like google chrome safar they have a pretty backround (like a sunset) and there is the serch bar but when i open firefox there is just a white page with my visited sites is there a way i can set a backround of my own like upploding a picture or do i have to use an extension?

(sorry for my english its my second lauguage)

You can use any image that you want for the New Tab background image, but the task to do that is quite complicated for users who aren't able to use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) along with 'userChrome.css .

The mention of "themes" is IMO wrong for what you asked about doing; those affect a different area, the User Interface and not the Content portion of the browser window.

Far easier to use a "New Tab" add-on.
