With the wealth of information provided by Firefox regarding identity theft is it necessary to subscribe to a site that monitors identity theft and charges for the service ?

Many identity theft services (it will vary depending on the service) go deeper. Many will monitor your financial transactions for fraudulent activity or monitor who accesses your account(s).
Firefox Monitor isn't an alternative to that kind of service.
