I want to restore my old bookmarks from windows.old after i moved on windows 7 but there's no roaming/mozilla folder in appdata, where else they could be?
previous os was windows xp sp3

No there is no such folder. I all users and user but appdata is in all users and mozzila folder there only has logs folder with maintenanceservice-instal file. Local and profile folder doesn't exist too. Thanks on try
With Firefox running - Help -> Troubleshooting Information > Profile Folder - then use Show Folder
That shows bookmarks back up after installation of new os. I restored them and there is no bookmarks before installation as old version didn't store them in profile.
Bookmarks are stored in the places.sqlite file in the Profile folder. The places.sqlite file can't be moved or stored outside of the Profile folder. Been like that since Firefox 3.0.
Ok, thanks a lot it's close but not solved yet. Search find it in c/windows.old/doc and settings/user/appdata/mozillaf./profiles but i cannot restore it in mozilla library because it cannot see user/application data folder also it is not shown in windows explorer. I tried to send it on desktop from search but library still doesn't see it. What now?
