Is Colourful Tabs Bordering On Malware?
With regular correspondence when Firefox is opened, plus the numerous begging letters, is Colourful Tabs bordering on malware? Other Add Ons have to survive, too, but Colourful Tabs have to take the biscuit for constant nagging and annoyance. It is a very good Add On, but is being ruined by these constant notifications and I am strongly tempted to remove it. It has become a pest.

If an add-on is violating Mozilla's Add-on policies (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/AMO/Policy/Reviews), we will work with the developer to make sure they get back in line with our policies, or we block their offending Add-on. Reading the reviews for Colorful Tabs (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/colorfultabs/?src=ss) it doesn't appear that others are having issues with the add-on. are you sure these pop-ups are coming from colorful tabs? Asking for donations is not considered a malware behavior though, so if it does bother you please remove the add-on.

It isn't malware, but if it annoys you, remove it.
I didn't say that it was Malware. I asked if it is bordering on Malware. If I remove it are the numerous notifications just to be allowed run rampant? Should people bring to the notice of Firefox things that do not seem right?

Thanks. Everytime I restart the browser there is a form form from Colourful Tabs asking me if I want to make a donation and asking me to indicate if I would like to make a monthly contribution to the site. This is on top of numerous previous appeals and what seems like almost daily update notifications, all keeping Colourful tabs prominent lest anyone forget to contribute. I was just wondering if others are getting these numerous notifications and how they feel about being pestered so much. I have lots of other Add Ons and, to their credit, no one else annoys so much.

every time I load Firefox I get to tabs opening one is okay as it is my start pagethe second one is from http://ctab.binaryturf.com/ab.php?vu=28.1&a=1 "Thankyou for updating ColorfulTabs!" I cannot get rid of it .can you tell me how I can stop getting this page from coming up.
if it is not possible I will uninstall ColorfulTabs .
It is a pest and there is not much you can do. At least it is not as bad as it used to be, although it is gradually slipping back. Pity about the over the top spamming because it is not a bad product otherwise.

Yes, it is a pity to have to do that if you find the product useful - as I do - but it is an option that you are entitled to take if you wish. Best of luck.
