My bookmarks have to be restored everytime my computer restarts and it never did this before. Why and what can I do to not have this happen?

Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, sounds like a permission issue. If firefox can't save your bookmarks, it won't.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
